Sally Gavlik, CPRP, is President of PR&S, LLC. She was Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of McAllen, Texas (2009-2015); Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Corpus Christie, Texas (2004-2009); and Director of Parks and Recreation for the County of El Paso, Texas (1999-2004).
She holds a BA in Recreation Management from the University of New Mexico and an MA in Sports Management from Baylor University. She is a certified Legal Assistant, a Certified Park and Recreation Professional and a Certified Public Manager.
Gavlik is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association, where she has served on the Board of Trustees, as Southwest Regional Council Chair, as Certification Committee Chair and as a member of the Program Planning Committee. As a member of the Texas Recreation and Park Society, she served as President, Conference Planning Chair, and Regional Director, and was a recipient of the Fellow Award. She has been a Board Member of the Rocky Mountain Revenue School, and Regional Director and Regional Director of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation. In 2016, she was selected to be a member of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration. [current as of Sept 2016]
