Ned Cheely, CPRP, is Director of James City County, Virginia Division of Parks and Recreation. Previously, he held the position of Director of Parks and Recreation for Frederick and Shenandoah Counties in Virginia.
Ned has been an active professional for over twenty-five years, serving on a variety of state, regional, and national committees and boards. He is a past President of the Virginia Park and Recreation Society as well as a recipient of that organization’s highest award, its Fellows Award.
During his spare time Ned works year round with youth in his community in a variety of areas. He enjoys participating in all sports and is an avid cyclist.
Ned has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from East Carolina University.
