Stacey Dicke

Stacey Laird Dicke has been the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of New Braunfels since 2004, overseeing 500+ acres of parkland and facilities. The Department received the Texas Recreation and Parks Society's Distinguished Gold Medal award in 2010 and 2016.
 
After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1989, Stacey went to work for the City of Waco Parks and Recreation and became involved with several professional organizations including the Texas Recreation and Parks Society, National Recreation and Parks Association and Texas Amateur Athletics Federation. In 1992, Stacey was awarded the TRAPS Young Professional Award for her participation in regional and state efforts. 
 
After working in Waco for eight years, Stacey went to work for Texas Parks and Wildlife as a grants administrator. In 1998, Stacey was hired by the City of Arlington and spent the next six years working for the Recreation Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. In 2003, the National Recreation and Parks Association awarded her the Robert Crawford Young Professional Award. Stacey was named to the Texas Recreation and Park Society Hall of Honor in 2015.
 
Stacey is married to Kyle Dicke, and together they have four children. She is involved in a number of organizations in the community including Oakwood Baptist Church, New Braunfels Noon Lions and the Chamber of Commerce. [current as of September 2017]
