American Academy for Park & Recreation Administration Announces Leadership Transition at the Journal of Parks and Recreation Administration

Under Dr. Brijesh Thapa’s leadership as Editor-in-Chief (2019-2021), JPRA is included in SCOPUS, the world’s largest database of peer reviewed literature; three special editions were produced covering key contemporary themes; there is global representation in associate editors; a new Commentary section was created; and there is adherence to rigorous peer review and content quality standards.  

The Editor-in-Chief is a highly prestigious scholarly position responsible for coordinating all aspects of preparing four regular issues of the Journal of Park and Recreation Administration (JPRA) for publication. annually. This includes soliciting and previewing manuscripts, assigning manuscripts to associate editors and reviewers, working with reviewers to ensure timely reviews, and assisting authors in revisions.
