Katie
has served in a variety of capacities and progressive leadership positions in the
recreation and parks field serving four Illinois Park Districts and a Georgia
municipal recreation agency for approximately 34 years until she retired in
2019. Her vast experience ultimately led to the development of her company,
Gold Medal Force, LLC founded in 2020. Katie
has developed and presented training programs for thousands of professionals
across the nation on an array of professional development and growth topics,
the CPRP and CPRE Exams, and her Gold Medal Force, LLC Exam Prep Courses,
assisting hundreds of professionals to reach their certification goals.
She served with the NRPA certification exam writing
teams for 12 years to develop both the CPRP and CPRE exams. Katie was asked to
lead the CPRE exam development committee comprised of a team of 8 professionals
and professors. Katie
has served on and chaired several local, state and national boards and
committees since 1988 and continues to actively advocate, serve on and chair
several committees today, and continues to help park and recreation
organizations better serve their communities through master planning efforts.
